How to make a tonic to fight cold and flu?

Suffering from cold and flu? There are many home remedies that can help you ease the sickness. One of those home remedies is to a tonic that fights cold and flu.

To make a tonic, you would need a few ingredients first. You would need ginger, green tea teabags, orange juice (fresh or concentrate), and hot water. Each of these ingredients has medicinal properties – ginger has mild antibacterial and antiviral properties and the acrid flavor clears sinuses and nasal passages; green tea is known for its antioxidants, while vitamin C has also been known to be a good remedy for cold and flu. To make the tea, you would need to peel and slice the ginger and soak in boiling water. To it, add 2 teabags, and steep for 5-7 minutes before straining it into a cup or mug. To that, add fresh orange juice, or frozen juice concentrate, and drink up.

This tonic is very helpful. The hot liquid soothes the throat, and eases blocked nasal passages. Care should be taken though, that the ingredients used are right, for example only fresh ginger should be used, not dried. And if juice concentrate is used, only the frozen one should be chosen. If prepared properly, this tonic should make you feel better instantly.
