When it comes to dealing with pregnancy, there are a lot of things to preserve such as the mother’s health which will secondly flourish the condition of the baby. Illnesses do come about very often during such a condition and many mothers are prone to sickness as their body reacts weakly to the germs and bacteria due to a resting immune system. Catching cold is a common illness to be seen whilst being pregnant and there are many ways to prevent it from occurring in the first place:
- Keep germ prone areas such as the bathroom and kitchens clean using disinfectants.
- Wash hands before having every meal.
- Eat healthy food and maintain a proper diet.
- Avoid food that comes in masses which has to be shared with other people i.e. popcorn
- Use hand sanitizers before you touch things outside of home.
- Avoid being around and engaging in physical contact with people who are already ill.
- Keep the environment of your house clean by creating airy ventilations and changing sheets on the bed every day.
- Sleep and be sure to get plenty of rest each day.
- Drink lots of fluids in order to keep your body hydrated.
Avoid drinks that have alcohol or caffeine in them.
