What should one do if she caught a cold during pregnancy?

Pregnancy does not always necessary bring “the glow” in a house as many women find difficulty coping with the string of illnesses it brings along in alternative cases. Prevention of illnesses and maintenance of health are a mandatory measure needed to be undertaken by women who are pregnant in order to deliver their baby safe and sound. However, illnesses don’t come with a notice and cannot always be avoided. One such illness is the common cold. If you have already become a victim of rattling coughs, agonizing headaches and sneezes whilst having a loaded tummy there are many ways to overcome the illness to help you get back in your feet in no time:

  • It is important to stay hydrated to avoid most cases of sickness so be sure to drink lots of water and organic fluids.
  • Maintain a proper diet full of healthy food like vegetables and unrefined cooking.
  • Get plenty of bed rest and sleep in order to liberate from the excruciating headaches.
  • Drink tea to relieve the sore throats and try nasal rinses that will rid you of the congested blockage in your nasal passages.
Undergo proper medication under the supervision of your doctor. Be careful whilst taking any over the counter or alternative route medicines as not all might be safe for your pregnancy.
